Celebrate Recovery (CR) is for anyone who has a hurt, habit, or hang-up. Sometimes there is a misconception that CR is limited to those who struggle only with alcohol or drug addictions. This Christ-centered program offers a safe, confidential environment for anyone who struggles with issues such as grief, anger, gambling, abortion recovery, depression, sexual abuse, control issues, divorce, anxiety, pornography, eating disorders, as well as addiction to chemical substances. The application of the 8 Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes and the 12 Steps helps free participants from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors, while helping them grow spiritually and emotionally. All are invited to come and experience how God can transform and restore the brokenhearted.
Recovery at First Baptist is for the whole family. Celebration Place is designed to inspire kids with hope, joy, and friendships while they learn to rely on God. Celebration Place is a complementary children's resource to Celebrate Recovery where kids in 1st-6th grades can discover the same truths in age-appropriate ways. Children attending Celebration Place must have a parent attending Celebrate Recovery. Middle and high school students can also travel the path to freedom, healing and wholeness at The Landing. By working through the Christ-centered principles among a community of peers and caring adults, students gain access to tools which enable them to give their hurt, hang-up or habit to Jesus and find true healing and victory. Celebration Place and The Landing meet at the same time as Celebrate Recovery each week.
Celebrate Recovery Step Studies meet every Wednesday evening @ 5:30 pm.
