CHILDREN'S MINISTRY - VOLUNTEER

Looking for a place to plug in?  We have a place for you!  The Children's Ministry can use your gifts, talents, and/or skills on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings.  You would be surprised at the different ways you can be used of God to reach kids for Christ. 

We believe that children matter to God and therefore they matter to us! We want to reach boys and girls for God. That is our calling and our calling is big and urgent.

YOU are what makes First Baptist Children's ministry work.

You are on the front lines making an eternal difference.  Without you, our mission would be empty words.  With you, we can change the life of one child at a time and therefore change the world.

REASONS TO VOLUNTEER IN THE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

• You will come to understand why kids hold a special place in teh kingdom of God.
• You will learn more (both in terms of width and depth) of the nature of God.
• You will understand your Bible better from being forced to figure out how to present it to kids in a way that they can understand but which wont' water it down.
• Your prayer life will deepen both as you pray for wisdom to teach and as you pray for the kids in your ministry.
• You will find out that exhaustion can be absolutely exhilarating
• You will find yourself broken to the point of tears over things that young children must endure.
• You will see the grace of God in the heart of a child.
• You will figure out that every child is different and it is our job to figure out how to relate to them.
