ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

The ESL Ministry of FBC meets each Thursday and Sunday to assist internationals in our area with language skills.  There are many ways you can be involved in this ministry.

• Pray for the teachers and students
• Tutor someone who can't read English
• Assist the ESL teacher in the basic English class on Thursdays beginning at 10:00 a.m. and Sundays beginning at 4:00 p.m.
• Begin an intermediate class
• Help provide child care on Thursday mornings
• Provide refreshments for the class on either Thursday or Sunday
• Tutor an ESL student one-on-one during class or during the week for someone who cannot attend class
• Provide transportation to class for students
• Get the word out about the ESL ministry

The ESL ministry at FBC has helped students from 23 countries, including Argentina, Belarus, Belize, Brazil, China, Egypt, Guatemala, India, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Nepal, Palestine, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Serbia, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Yemen.
