Make Worship a Priority
The purpose of worship is to encounter God's presence. First Baptist offers two morning worship experiences. Our 8:30 Worship Service is more traditional and includes our Sanctuary Choir. The 11:00 Worship Service is led by our Praise Band and Praise Choir. We encourage you and your family to join us weekly for worship.
Get Connected to a Sunday School Class or Life Group
Becoming involved in a class or small group is one of the most important steps a person can take to really become a commtted part of the church family. There is no greater commitment that one can make than the commitment to grow strong in the faith by joining together with others to gain a better understanding of spiritual truths and practical life application through in-depth study of the Bible.
But that's just the beginning. Classes organize to pray and care for one another during times of crisis, serve together on projects, and support missions endeavors together. Most importantly, classes build relationships of encouragement and support.
Find a Place of Service
Ministry is a word that describes serving others and meeting real needs. Sometimes it involves big crowds. At other times it is a face-to-face encounter with a few or even one person. Just as Jesus was always involved in ministry, so we must touch hurting lives around us and share the joy of the Christian life.
First Baptist Church has many great ministries that offer you and your family excellent opportunities to bless others, to honor Christ and to grow in our faith.
We believe God has gifted everyone for the work of the ministry. There are many opportunities for service and involvement in Kingdom work. We would love to help you find that place of service. Volunteering means that the church becomes a place that you can give as well as receive.
Step Up to a Mission's Challenge
Church isn't just for the church--it's for the world. We don't apologize for the fact that we believe every Christian is called to be a Great Commission Christian. We encourage every new member to apply for their passport! Missions is not just something we do at First Baptist, it is who we are. We encourage every Christian to pray about their involvement in carrying out the Great Commission. We honestly believe that little if anything has more of an effect on our faith than engaging in missions!
