What to Expect on Sundays
Worship Times
On Sundays, First Baptist Natchitoches has two morning worship services--8:30 am. and 11:00 am. It is helpful if you arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start of the service to allow time for parking and seating.
Parking
Parking for our guests is located in the parking lot directly behind our building. There are reserved spaces for those with handicaps, senior adults and moms with small children. There is additional parking located on the hill. The Public Library also provides their parking lot for the church on Sundays. We have plenty of parking volunteers on all the streets surrounding the church to help you find a place to park.
Greeters
Greeters are positioned at each entrance to the building. They will answer your questions and escort you to the sanctuary or to a Sunday School class. We would love to meet you after the service as well. Our Pastor often meets with guests in the Church Library area immediately following each service.
Dress
Come as you are. We are more concerned about meeting your needs than what you wear. You will find men in khaki pants and a polo shirt, a suit, or even jeans. Ladies will wear a dress, pants suit, or jeans. You can dress up or down; what matters is that you come ready to worship God.
Babies & Children
First Baptist Church provides preschool childcare at both morning services so presents can experience a meaningful time of worship. Preschoolers up to age 4 are encouraged to participate in our worship care ministry. There are lots of age appropriate activities for them to enjoy during the worship time.
Sunday School Classes
There is a Sunday School Class for all members of your family. These classes provide the opportunity for you to meet new people and to nurture authentic friendships with people who are seeking fellowship and spiritual growth just like you. We encourage you to drop in on a Sunday School Class when you visit. Our greeters and ministry volunteers would love to help you find a class.
