Our Philosophy

The First Baptist Church Preschool Ministry exists to provide support to the home and to extend the ministry of the church.  We do this by providing biblically based, age appropriate education for preschoolers in a safe, loving, Christian environment. 

We believe that all preschoolers need to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially.  We believe in order to develop the highest possible self-esteem, children must become aware of God and His importance in their lives.  This knowledge will help them as they begin to grow as children of God, learning in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

It is our hope that the learning experiences will be both fun and beneficial for each child.  In order to make every child's experience as positive as possible, we will work to develop close and cooperative relationships with the parents of our preschoolers.

Sunday Mornings

Our preschool children meet on Sunday mornings during the regular Bible study time at 9:45 a.m. We are currently using the Bible Teaching for Kids curriculum through LifeWay for our Preschool department.  Bible Teaching for Kids Sunday School curriculum provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories for babies through preteen - helping kids hear, know and do God's Word.

Wednesday Evening

M&M’s is the Missions and Music ministry for Preschoolers. Each Wednesday, beginning at 5:30, we will have a time of Missions lessons and activities where your child will learn the importance of Missions. They will learn how to pray for Missionaries and how they, as preschoolers can help our missionaries serving in the United States as well as in other countries! Following our Missions lessons, we have our Music Time. During our music time, the Preschoolers enjoy participating in high energy songs and games, making and playing instruments, storytelling, and art projects.  Our children are learning that we are all made in the image of God. 

Come and join us in the preschool area for M&Ms on Wednesday nights.
